Forgot to post this yesterday.Day two of snowmageddon:I am grateful for my all-wheel drive Subaru getting through that parking lot. Grateful for Taylor Wade Ferguson’s crew, especially Jeremy Bautista Ferguson SUBARU. Melanie, you raised a good man. Thinking about Jezebel, the many food trucking wins and losses—and never doing it again. Done did it.Why get out in the snow? Because I can and I am itching to bake and cook. That starts with showing up. Getting things done quickly without injury is everything for me. Preferably I show up excited because I don’t always get to cook.There is an adrenaline rush with service. Think about this—when someone needs something at a party that means within two to five minutes. Some chefs will ride you like a pony until that item has reached their hands. I try not to do that. I’m surprised that I avoided a drinking habit, but I have my vices as we all do. The name of the game post-pandemic for a caterer? Move the food, baby, because that’s part of the equation. I will be posting a Norman delivery menu in the weeks to come. I will continue to offer food via weekly Tulsa Curbside Picky Uppy events. I am thrilled to be working a 90th birthday party on Valentine’s Day. I am willing and ready to write all the bids for all of the parties that pay all the bills.I cannot just sit at home with my soup freezer looking like this.
